Cinkciarz will develop the world’s first currency app for Microsoft Hololens. The device, available only in the USA and Canada, is already at the company’s headquarters in Zielona Gora.

The company announced its plans a day after the release of the most recent update for Hololens. Cinkciarz will join the world’s most innovative companies, e.g. JPL NASA and Volvo, which also prepare apps for the state-of-the-art equipment.

Microsoft Hololens is an innovative, so-called mixed-reality piece of equipment. The device shortens the distance between technologies of virtual and augmented realities (VR and AR), by offering a unique possibility to display holographic projections. Among its praised features are high production quality, impressive resolution of holograms and a perfect surround sound. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA’s research facility, uses Hololens for educational projects. Volvo, the Swedish car producer, used the device in designing safety systems. This group of pioneers of new technologies will be joined by the Polish online currency exchange company.

The Cinkciarz currency app will enable the projection of a holographic workspace. With its help, Microsoft Hololens users will be able to access current foreign exchange rates at any given time.

– The recent years were a time of consolidation of Cinkciarz’s pioneer position in the fintech market. Experiences from developing our apps to AR devices, such as Google Glass or Recon Jet, enabled us to create an efficient solution for one of the most promising pieces of hardware – Microsoft Hololens – said Kamil Sahaj, CMO, Cinkciarz.

The release date of the consumer version of Microsoft Hololens has yet to be announced. The version, dedicated for programmers and developers, is only available for purchase in the USA and Canada. Technology market experts say that despite its high price, the device is innovative and exciting enough to be a hit.
