Cantata unit and integration testing tool for C and C++, is now available as version 7.1. The new version makes it very easy for customers to deploy Cantata for use in any target environment as well as introducing the latest developments in bi-directional requirements traceability.

The release of Cantata 7.1 was announced today by leading software quality company QA Systems. This release introduces a deployment wizard and editor to make it simple for users to set up Cantata for testing on embedded platforms.

A dedicated deployment perspective within the Cantata Eclipse IDE provides a full deployment editor with standard, advanced and expert modes. These make it easy to rapidly create a standard deployment, and to fine tune deployments for your specific needs. The editor comes with comprehensive contextual help for new users, while still retaining all of the flexibility that experienced Cantata users are used to.

Cantata 7.1 improves the drag and drop bi-directional requirements traceability, with colour coded visibility and filtering of changed requirements. ReqIF (Requirements Interchange Format) is now supported and full round trip integrations are now available for requirements management tools including:

– DOORs®
– PTC Integrity®
– Polarion REQUIREMENTS®
– Intland codeBeamer®.

As with previous versions, Cantata 7.1 will be awarded compliance certification to the highest safety integrity levels for ISO 26262 (automotive), IEC 61508 (industrial safety), IEC 62304 (medical devices), EN 50128 (railways), IEC 60880 (nuclear) from SGS TüV Saar by the end of 2016.

“With Cantata 7.1 we continue driving embedded software quality through test automation. Easier on-target configuration and full featured integrations with leading requirements tools will both accelerate our customers testing activities.” stated Andreas Sczepansky, QA Systems CEO.
