For adults, Sutton Mencap offers diverse group-based services, including Community day activities that run five days a week. These encompass a variety of activities such as visits to leisure centres, parks, cinemas, and participation in art and dance classes. Our ‘Breakaways’ programme specifically addresses the needs of adults living with family members, offering them engaging activities while giving their carers a well-deserved break. Additionally, our leisure services aim to help adults with learning disabilities to socialize, develop skills, and enjoy a range of group activities.
Our base in Wallington is equipped with comfortable lounges, craft and activity areas, a sensory room, and a secure outdoor play area, ensuring a welcoming and accessible space for everyone. We believe in the power of community involvement and regularly engage in local events, aiming to make Sutton a place that fully includes people with learning disabilities in all aspects of community life.
