Central to our mission is the Visionary Impact Programme, which offers mentoring and bursaries to underrepresented groups aged 18 to 29. This program is designed for those starting in the arts, whether in the media and entertainment industries or aspiring to be writers, producers, directors, bloggers, or performers. By providing these opportunities, we aim to open doors for new voices and perspectives in the arts.
We believe in the power of social impact entertainment, a genre found predominantly in films, TV, documentaries, and music. Our goal is to intertwine social impact messages with compelling entertainment, covering topics like racism, homophobia, disability, and climate change. This approach is not just about creating content; it’s about sparking change and debate, empowering young adults to make a positive social impact through their creativity.
Annually, we host the Visionary Honours awards, celebrating popular culture, media, and entertainment that inspire social change or debate. This event is a testament to our commitment to recognizing and uplifting works that challenge norms and inspire societal shifts.
As we look to the future, the Visionary Arts Foundation is committed to continuously using art as a powerful tool for social change. We strive to be a catalyst for a new generation of diverse creators and talent, using our mediums effectively to make a change in our community and beyond. Our dedication to this cause is unwavering, as we continue to inspire, empower, and lead in the intersection of art and social activism.
